Handmade Canberra's inaugural "Everything Fashion" Market on Saturday May 5 from 10am - 4pm at the National Convention Centre will bring an unprecedented 80 fashion designers together in an extraordinary showcase of local and national designer's works.
Material Pleasures Recycled Designer Clothing is the only on-seller
invited and we are very proud to announce their major sponsorship of
this important event.
"The Everything Fashion market will be unique" said Rebekah Griffiths,
owner of Material Pleasures. "There is no other handmade fashion market
of its size in Australia. It caters to the growing demand to directly
connect the designer with the consumer. Designers from across Australia
will exhibit, and Material Pleasures will show a wide range of
Australian and International designer garments.
A chance to see, try and
buy from such a diverse collection really is very special. There's
coffee and cake and places to recharge too."
Also from 10am-4pm Material Pleasures will be operating at the rapidly growing bi-monthly Fash 'N' Treasure market at the Old Bus Depot building in Kingston. Fash 'n' Treasure brings together local wardrobes, fashion designers, fashion shops, milliners and stylists. Its mix of vintage, designer and new is a natural fit for Material Pleasures.
"These two fashion events, on the same day and in such close proximity will draw local and interstate visitors to the city." said Griffiths, who estimated a potential attendance of 20,000 or more between the two markets.
Material Pleasures (est. 1987) is Canberra's longest established designer clothing recycler.
