What is your name? Anne Bodorkos. Don't worry, apparently I don't pronounce my surname correctly either.
What is your design company called? Flibbertigibbet.
What do you make? I'm best known for my covered button hair accessories, magnets and jewellery but I also make windchimes, bunting and mobiles and have an ever growing list of things I'd like to add to my range.
I just need more hours in the day.
And more glue.
I also love my covered button magnets - they are super-strong and look great. What more could you possibly ask of a magnet?
What inspires your designs? Lots of things! Nature, fashion trends, comments and enquiries from customers, also seeing a new crafty gadget and thinking "What can I make with that?" so I can justify buying it.
I've actually become a bit *too* good at that last one ...
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I have a drawing I did in primary school. In it I am wearing a pink meringue inspired wedding dress, standing next to a suited groom and the caption reads "When I grow up I want to get married, have a family and own a craft shop."
It was a bit of a thrill to find the drawing recently and realise that's almost exactly how things have turned out - although in a very roundabout fashion (and my wedding dress wasn't pink).
If you would be anywhere right now, where would it be and why? Prince Edward Island, off the east coast of Canada. It is my dream to live there for a year and experience the northern hemisphere seasons in all their glory.
What’s your biggest designer dream? To tell you the truth I'm still a bit stunned to find people actually pay money for things I've made *gasp*.
In the immediate future, I'm launching an online store and also starting to do wholesale orders. In the long term, well, this whole thing really is a dream come true for me and for the moment I'm just happy to see where it takes me.
Website: stay tuned! I'm launching my website in January 2011. [Ed: Anne will let us know when it's up and running so we can let you know and you can all visit and have a little drool!]
