Meet the Designer: Tango & James

Lisa Barrett is one of those designers who seem to ooze style from every pore. The brains behind popular blog Canberra's Got Style, it's clear how Lisa's passion for fashion and stunning eye for design extend across many design genres from jewellery to interior design.

Not only does Lisa decorate, design, renovate, redesign and repurpose, outfit and style across the board, she also makes her own range of amazing baubles, bling and homewares for her label Tango & James.

With her eclectic, retro-modern and hyper-hip whimsical blend, Lisa's unique pieces are a tangle of colour, zest and clean lines. She adores shots of adventurous colour and this can be seen in her Tango & James wares that will be on sale at Handmade market on 28 March.

Just take a look at this amazing line-up of bling, taking stunning fabric in classic themes and totally reworking them with colour pops and quirky shots of cleverness.

Loving this new range of necklaces with funky wordage and an amazing rainbow chain necklace that will certainly put you in a party mood. And how could you not want a sweet green canary close to your heart. Just divine.

Lisa will also host her fabulous range of homewares at Handmade, including her stunning silhouette cushions and just look at the fabric on this divine pastel lollipop creation below right. Now I just have to convince Lisa to make and sell that stunning wall art...

If you're really lucky, Lisa may even have one or two of her amazing repurposed furniture item for sale. Here she is, below, at a past Handmade market, surrounded by utter gorgeousness, all lovingly restored and redesigned to make your own interiors zing.

You also may not know that Lisa's style and products are so well-known and admired, she has appeared in Cleo magazine, the Canberra Times, Home Beautiful and other publications, and it's so wonderful to see a Canberra girl do good. Not only that, Lisa will be designing and outfitting the stunning new Shop Handmade retail space... just wait till you see how beautiful - the opening is at 9am on Friday 16 April.
