Meet the Designer: Gifts Created

Part of the delight of being a parent is immersing ourselves in the whimsy and magic of baby and childhood. Not only does it stir up fond memories of our own early years, it brings us much joy to see our own kids delight in a world iced with a little pure fantasy... before adulthood and real life sets in.

If you're anything like me, and Sarah Saliba, you'll easily become entranced and distracted by beautiful and memorable keepsakes for children. If I had a mushroom like this to peek around like a fairy in the depths of the garden, I would be a very happy mum, and it's clear Sarah, of Gifts Created is a very happy fairy in her creative garden.

Sarah is the mastermind behind this gorgeous range of softies and unique toys for children that offer something a little bit different. For two years now, she has been handmaking these whimsical pieces, and at Handmade market on 28 March, you will have the opportunity to see this range first-hand, as Sarah showcases her beautiful wares.

It's such a thrill to see new talent on the scene, offering utterly creative and beautiful items. I adore this raincloud mobile and I so want that mushroom lolling about on my (I mean, my daughter's) bed. Can you believe how cute?

Gifts Created products include cute appliquéd onesies, baby mobiles, softies, soft blocks, custom made blocks and bunting and even cubby houses. She also features nursery deco including a new range of snails, birdcages and toadstools. Sarah's product inspiration comes from her little son Harrison and the things he finds in and around the garden.

Come along to Handmade on 28 March and visit Sarah in her garden wonderland. If you want something unique, stylish and fun, you won't be disappointed.
